Claire’s Accessories announces closure in Waterford City

Signs have been posted in the windows of Claire’s Accessories in Waterford City indicating their Closing Down Sale.

This comes as last month, the retailer entered administration for a second time.

Initially in 2025, 145 stores across Ireland and the UK were intended for closure with 2,500 jobs at risk.

A restructuring within the company took place, however last month further closures were announced.

On January 26th, 2026, Joint Administrators were appointed for CAUKI Limited, trading as Claire’s UK and Ireland.

Currently, the Claire’s Accessories website displays a message advising that the website is taking a break.

Signs are displayed in the Waterford City store announcing the forthcoming closure of the branch.

The branch on Broad Street currently has a closing down sale, with no date yet confirmed for closure.
