A Cork worker, who has the title of Ireland’s oldest McDonald’s employee, has been named Cork Person of the Month for January.

63-year-old Thelma Beltran, originally from the Philippines but living in Cork for over 25 years, is Customer Experience Leader at McDonald’s Douglas and is also Ireland’s oldest McDonald’s worker, and was given the honour in recognition of her “incredible longevity, kindness and positivity”.
