Three years ago, Ryan Tubridy walked away from RTÉ at the centre of a scandal that shook Irish broadcasting to its core.
At the time, it was labelled an RTÉ failure, but in the public mind, it quickly became the Tubridy payment scandal.
Now, after a stint in London and a period out of the spotlight, Ryan Tubridy is back on Irish screens and back talking.
He’s repaid the money. RTÉ has accepted much of the blame. And Tubridy says he’s ready to “fix it”.
But does the Irish public agree?
And is this really the start of a redemption arc, or just a carefully managed comeback?
