A fierce debate erupted on social media last week after former BBC newsreader Jan Leeming took to the airwaves to complain about an unruly toddler ruining her dinner in a smart hotel restaurant.
The 84-year-old said that the parents were “oblivious” to the screaming emanating from their table and urged people to leave children at home if they can’t behave properly.
