Film crews have closed off a number of streets in west Cork this week amid the anticipation of the arrival of the cast for the filming of a new movie starring Brad Pitt.
62-year-old Brad is due to shoot some scenes in Cork, having already been spotted in Dublin recently, for upcoming feature film One for All, Cork Beo reports. The movie is based on the novel The Riders by Tim Winton and scenes have already been filmed at Bullock Harbour in Dalkey.
Other scenes are scheduled to be filmed across a variety of locations in Cork and Kerry and at least two streets in Timoleague have been cordoned off for filming this week, with speculation that Brad, who is in Ireland, could be on his way to the town.
Locals have been keeping a close eye out for the Fight Club star but they haven’t been helped by a recent trend of Cork businesses sharing fake AI images on social media showing Brad seemingly dropping in for a bite or pint at their pub, restaurant or cafe.

Main Street and Mill Street in Timoleague, a small village just east of Skibbereen, have been closed off for a shoot and photos of the set show crews working in the dark, capturing footage of an old-looking Garda car. Simon Walton, the owner of the local Charlie Madden’s bar, revealed that it has brought some excitement into the village.
There is some confusion, however, as businesses in the area have been told that the closure of the roads is not for any upcoming blockbuster but, rather, for a small-budget, independent movie called Hemingway’s Bar.
Business owners were advised that two streets would be closed off for a number of hours, and asked people not to park there during these times. Many suspect the whole thing is a misdirect, however, as higher-ups try to keep the whole project under wraps until the production is done and dusted.

Sources in Timoleague have confirmed to Cork Beo that Brad Pitt was not seen at the shoot yesterday evening. And members of the public are advised against travelling to the small village in the hopes of catching him as it is a strictly closed set.
Speaking to Cork Beo, bar owner Simon Walton shared how he got a big reaction online after playing a ‘prank,’ sharing a blurry, AI-edited photo that made it look like Brad Pitt was in the village.
He said: “We got the notice about Hemingway’s Bar being filmed around weeks ago. There was plenty of activity around the bar last night, brought a big crowd into the pub. A lot of people did travel to see if he was there, but nobody saw him. My daughter’s in college in Limerick, and they were actually thinking of organising a bus down to come see him!”
Pitt’s production, One For All, is an adaptation of the 1994 novel The Riders and sees the veteran actor star as Fred Scully, a father who attempts to relocate his family to a remote Irish farmhouse but ends up searching for his wife across Europe when his daughter shows up alone with no explanation over where her mother had gone.
