Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street’s Bernie Winter-Alahan is set for some creepy scenes in upcoming episodes as newcomer Mal just won’t leave her alone. Bernie first met Mal last month when she was struggling to deal with Billy Mayhew’s death and made a mistake with him she’s ended up regretting deeply.
On a night out drinking, Bernie caught Mal’s eye and the pair ended up spending a night in a hotel room together taking drugs.
While Bernie was eager to forget the night, she later got a shock when Mal arrived at the café to start work on the electrics in Roy Cropper’s flat.
Later Bernie also spotted Mal in the Rovers while she was with husband Dev. Bernie was able to have a quiet word with Mal and he ended up vowing to leave Wetherfield once his work on Roy’s flat was done.

However, Mal didn’t end up keeping his word and was later back in the café, this time offering to help Bernie out, making her more on edge and uncomfortable.
Next week, Mal will make Bernie feel even more freaked out as he attempts to get closer to her.
In scenes set to air on Tuesday 17 February and Wednesday 18 February, Mal shows Brian a bag of crystals that he’s bought and explains he’s learning about their healing properties.
This makes Bernie annoyed, as she senses he’s trying to impress her, given her interest in crystals.
When Jodie serves Brian the wrong toastie, Bernie snaps at her but as Jodie clocks Bernie’s irritation at Mal, how will she get her own back?

Later in the week, Mal quizzes Chesney, wanting to know which is Bernie’s favourite crystal.
Is Mal taking his interest in Bernie too far and should the Street be worried that there could be a new stalker on the cobbles?
Our source told us: “Bernie just wants Mal to leave.”

“Their wild night at the Chariot Square Hotel is one that she’d rather forget, but Mal is determined to stick around for as long as possible,” our insider continued.
“Although Mal claims that he’s staying for work reasons – fixing the electrics at Roy’s café – he seems to be worming his way into Bernie’s life at every opportunity. Should she be worried?”
Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
