EastEnders spoilers follow.

EastEnders stars Alice Haig and Alex Walkinshaw have teased wedding bells for their characters Vicki Fowler and Ross Marshall – despite the fact that Vicki cheated on Ross with Zack Hudson. Ross and Vicki’s relationship has been troubled since his son Joel attacked her in a misogynistic rage, and their rough patch culminated in Vicki sleeping with Zack as the chemistry between them grew.

Vicki intended to keep the one-night stand a secret, but when Ross got down on one knee and asked her to marry him, the guilt led her to come clean. However, Vicki failed to reveal that her mystery man was actually Zack!

Alice and Alex, along with James Farrar who plays Zack, joined Inside Soap for an exclusive photoshoot as part of our Valentine’s Day issue – and Alex revealed how Ross would react if he discovered that Zack is who Vicki cheated with!

“I think he’d be completely and utterly blindsided!” he exclaims.

“If it was going to be anyone, he would never expect it to be Zack. It would come completely out of left field, for Ross anyway.”

Despite the hurtful truth, Ross stayed true to his marriage proposal and insisted that he still wants to marry Vicki, leading the pair to reconcile.

And, it seems that they’ll make it down the aisle in the end, as the cast tease…

“Listen, there’s going to be a Walford wedding on the cards, which can only mean one thing, and that’s drama!” Alice shares. “The story is not over yet, but at the moment I really feel like Vicki and Ross are on the same page and they want a future together.”

“There’s going to be tears of joy and sorrow, I should imagine,” adds Alex. “Hopefully it’ll be a very enjoyable wedding day – not necessarily for the bride and groom, but for the people watching!”

“There will be hen and stag nights that are absolutely outrageous, in true EastEnders style,” James chimes in. “And I think there’ll be a lot of things going on underneath Sharon’s roof!”
