Gardaí are appealing for information on an attempted break-in at a self-service laundry machine at the Courtfield Shopping Centre in Raheen, Limerick

The incident occurred early on Wednesday, between the hours of 3 am and 8.30 am, February 4.  

Whoever was behind the incident, caused “quite a bit of damage trying to do it”, according to Sergeant Aoife Bannon from the Community Policing unit at Henry Street Garda Station.

The sergeant said: “Thankfully, whoever was responsible didn’t manage to get into the cash box, but they did cause quite a bit of damage trying to do it.”

The garda continued: “We are appealing to anyone who has any information or noticed

anything unusual in the area to please contact Roxboro Road Garda Station or

the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111”.
