The UK retailer Marks & Spencer is coming to Tralee.

Works are currently underway at the Manor Applegreen Service Station.

Tralee’s new Marks & Spencer store is part of the expansion of Applegreen’s partnership with the retailer.

The development comes nearly 20 years after plans for a full M&S outlet were refused.

In 2007, Tralee Town Council sparked public controversy by blocking M&S from opening a planned outlet at Manor West Retail Park.

The incoming M&S store is on a much smaller scale than the original plans, as an in-shop outlet at the Manor Applegreen.

The outlet will offer M&S food products as well as a Click and Collect service for their clothing and home ranges.

Applegreen currently has more than 35 M&S stores across Ireland, with the Tralee new outlet as part of the plan to expand to 60 stores across the country.
