Taste Film, the dining experience where film fans are served up a menu of food featuring in their favourite big-screen releases, has a new season of themed events heading to the UK across the coming months.

The ‘Misfits, Friends & Unlikely Heroes’ season continues across April, May and June, with menus based on new and returning films.

Kicking things off in April, there’s the experience based on the 1996 classic Matilda, which stars Danny DeVito, Rhea Perlman, and Mara Wilson.

The menu includes fancier versions of the food the Wormwoods eat, including pancakes, fried chicken, and a ‘TV dinner’, while dessert is obviously based on the huge chocolate cake that Bruce Bogtrotter is forced to finish off.

Tickets for afternoon and evening experiences are available here, with most of the dates already on low availability.

There’s also a Paddington-themed experience taking place across May and June, which includes plenty of marmalade as you’d expect, including cocktails infused with the little bear’s favourite flavour.

There’s also British classics such as pie and broccoli soup, as well as a dish celebrating Paddington’s home country of Peru.

Tickets are available here, with more dates having higher availability compared to the Matilda one.

If neither of those take your fancy, there are also experiences based on Guardians of the Galaxy, Pulp Fiction, Mean Girls and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, to name just a few on the horizon.

Meanwhile, ones based on Ratatouille, Beauty and the Beast, and Twilight are already running, if you’re able to snatch up tickets in time.

Every experience includes vegan/vegetarian options, and of course you’ll get to watch the films as you dine.

The Taste Film events have received a lot of positive buzz so far, with Your Local Guardian calling it “a game-changer” and Verge Magazine dubbing it “Refreshingly unique, excels in delivery, and positively unforgettable”.

Taste Film events are taking place across London, Manchester and Edinburgh, with plans to launch Bristol, Birmingham and Brighton soon.
