Wolverhampton Wanderers sacked head coach Vitor Pereira after 11 months in charge with the club failing to win any of their opening 10 Premier League games of 2025-26.
Wolves were 19th when Pereira replaced Gary O’Neil in December 2024, and he guided them to safety by finishing 16th.
His arrival midway through last season signalled a significant change in fortunes for Wolves who ended up surviving comfortably, helped by a six-match winning run.
Such was the success of Pereira in his short time at Wolves, the club rewarded him with a new three year contract in September 2025.
However, Pereira lost several key players in the summer, with Matheus Cunha moving to Manchester United for £62.5m, Rayan Ait-Nouri joining Manchester City for £31m and captain Nelson Semedo departing for Fenerbahce when his contract expired.
Speculation over the future of Norway striker Jorgen Strand Larsen also proved an unwelcome distraction and the winless start ultimately led to his sacking, just two months after signing his new deal.
