‘We all make a tit of ourselves. Who doesn’t?” laughs Tommy Bowe, referring to his infamous faux pas about author Séamus O’Reilly and his 10 siblings, made live on Ireland AM in 2021. It’s rare to meet a rugby legend so willing to poke fun at himself.
“I make mistakes all the time,” he says. “I was involved in a social media company years ago and it completely bombed. I got involved in a schoolboy All-Ireland rugby tournament and that didn’t work either.”
