An Irish Euromillions player has landed a €1 million prize

One lucky Irish EuroMillions player is experiencing an unforgettable Valentine’s Day after securing a life-changing prize exceeding €1 million in Friday’s special EuroMillions draw.

The ticket holder claimed a substantial €1,005,000 through a promotional draw which guaranteed that one of 10 Irish winners would receive an additional €1 million on top of the standard €5,000, reports the Irish Mirror.

As occurs with every EuroMillions draw, ten players secured €5,000 with their unique raffle ticket number.

However, in Friday’s (February 13) draw, those ten winning tickets were subsequently entered into a one-off random draw where a single ticket was chosen to receive an extra €1 million. The winning raffle code was: I-TGQ-37601.

The National Lottery is now appealing to all EuroMillions players to check their tickets thoroughly as one player is now holding a stub worth a life-altering sum.

The winner is advised to sign the back of their ticket and store it safely. They should contact the prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to collect their €1,005,000 prize at Lotto HQ.

Meanwhile, the numbers drawn in Friday’s main EuroMillions draw were: 09, 13, 31, 37, 40 and the Lucky Stars were 06 and 09.

While Friday’s jackpot, which stood at a substantial €53,818,195, remained unclaimed, one Irish player did come tantalisingly close to claiming the huge sum after matching four correct numbers. Although the ticketholder missed out on the life-changing jackpot, they did secure the 4 + 2 Stars prize worth €1,046.

Meanwhile, the numbers to watch from Friday’s EuroMillions Plus draw are: 08, 16, 44, 45 and 48. The jackpot in this draw remained unclaimed, although 75 players did manage to match four correct numbers, each bagging a tidy €2,000.
