A MINIBUS flipped on it side in a serious collision in County Limerick this Sunday afternoon, Limerick Live has learned.
The driver side airbag was deployed due to the force of the collision which occurred on the School Road between Lisnagry and Castleconnell. A photo of the aftermath was sent to Limerick Live.
Gardai, Limerick Fire and Rescue Service and paramedics with the National Ambulance Service all responded to the scene.
Following a media query from Limerick Live, a garda spokesperson said gardaí were “alerted after a van overturned on a local road at Ballinacourty, County Limerick shortly after 4pm”.
“The sole occupant of the van, an adult male, was medically assessed at the scene. A full report is awaited,” said a garda spokesperson.

It is understood the driver did not suffer any life-threatening injuries.
There are reports of heavy hail showers in the area at the time.
