A Donegal man charmed viewers with his good humour after appearing on ITV’s tricky gameshow, The 1% Club.
Stephen McClintock from Raphoe, who is now based in London, was one of the 100 hopeful contestants put to the test on a Valentine’s Day special.
Stephen was still smiling when he was left in the blue after falling at the first hurdle.
Admitting that he panicked at the question, he joked: “I’m never going to be able to go home again!”
The Valentine’s episode featured competitive duos and ambitious singles.
Stephen, who sat in the singles row, pointed out a handy perk to being solo on Valentine’s.
He told presenter Lee Mack: “I prefer the day after, the 15th – it’s yellow sticker day and everything’s half price. I go out and treat myself.”
Once the pressure was off, Stephen was delighted to sit back and relax for the rest of the show.
Win or lose, he was a good sport from start to finish!
