Gardai have arrested a male following a two-hour standoff at a residential property in the Dun Laoghaire area of Dublin on Monday morning.
The incident unfolded when a male was observed on the roof of a property in the coastal suburban town allegedly in possession of fireworks.
The male was allegedly throwing tiles from the roof at gardai, who eventually managed to get him off the roof and arrested him.

Numerous videos circulating online show a number of garda cars and the Emergency Response Unit in the housing estate as officers surrounded the property.
In a statement to the Irish Mirror, An Garda Siochana said: “Gardai arrested a man in relation to an incident of criminal damage at a residential premises in Dun Laoghaire this morning, Monday, February 16.
“The man is currently detained at a Garda Station in South Dublin.”
Investigations are ongoing.
