Hollyoaks has revealed Gemma Johnson’s twisted role in Vicky Grant’s dark new storyline. In last week’s scenes, Vicky decided to spend her share of Grace’s inheritance money to buy the salon in the village, with her sister Gemma supporting her decision.
After Vicky was approached by a mystery man named Miles, he told her he was a talent scout and offered her a career in modelling.
In tonight’s episode, an excited Vicky prepared to chase this dream, but Gemma’s lack of enthusiasm made Vicky think her sister was jealous.
Fed up with Vicky bad-mouthing Gemma, Misbah said: “You have no idea what your sister’s done for you. She’s purchased the lease on the salon so you two can go into business together.”
Vicky apologised to Gemma, suggesting that they run the salon together alongside her modelling career, and the pair went to check out the building.
While Gemma excitedly shared her business ideas, Vicky became distracted by a text message from Miles saying a client had shown interest in hiring her for a job in London. Vicky told Gemma she couldn’t turn down the opportunity.

Following the photoshoot audition, Miles left Vicky feeling heartbroken and crushed when he said: “They want a less curvy model. If you lost half a stone before next week’s shoot, then it might’ve worked, but it’s too late.”
Gemma confronted Miles about his cruelty towards her sister, and Miles called Gemma out, saying she is the one who offered to pay him to sabotage the job.
“You’re the twisted sister who called me up and offered me money to turn her down,” Miles said, with Gemma insisting she just wanted him to say he found someone else for the job rather than be mean.

When Miles said Vicky looked great and should have got the job, Gemma said: “You tell her, or anyone else about this, and I will ruin you.”
Unaware that Gemma had handed Miles an envelope of cash, Vicky thanked her sister for defending her.
At home, Vicky said it was probably for the best that she didn’t get the job, but she was later seen secretly ordering weight-loss injections.
Later this week, following Miles’ comments, Vicky’s life will be in danger when she is kidnapped by Sully’s men.
Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
