In daylight, both 200MP main cameras deliver sharp, well-balanced photos, even though the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus looks a bit artificially over-sharpened in comparison. Overall, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra (from $1,049 on Amazon) produces better pictures, but the differences are not huge. In the basement photo, the drawbacks in terms of dynamic range were much more pronounced in our flagship comparison with the Xiaomi 17 Ultra than in this particular test.
Whether Xiaomi did a good job with its mid-range phone or Samsung really needs to improve the main camera quality on its flagship is certainly up for discussion. When it comes to night shots, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra shows a noticeably higher level of sharpness, as the Samsung phone uses shorter exposure times. As the light gets worse, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus loses detail. However, the lights are not blown out as much as on Samsung’s flagship.
