Kim Kardashian and ex-husband Kanye West‘s daughter, North West, appears to no longer be sporting a dermal piercing.
The Daily Mail reported on Tuesday, February 17, that North, 12, posted a photo on her Instagram story of her bruised fingers where the piercings had been, writing “Rip” on top of the snap.
As Globe has previously reported, the Skims founder, 45, has caught a lot of heat from fans for allowing the tween to get finger piercings at such a young age, as they can pose a health risk.

North — who also wears faux piercings and tattoos — addressed the critics in a December TikTok video set to the audio “Why are you crying? How old are you? Just pull it together.”
“This is for everyone that’s mad over a finger piercing,” she wrote on top of the video.
Then, on February 6, North released her song “Piercing on My Hand,” in which she raps, “I want more piercings and tats.”
As for the reality TV star, she addressed North’s edgy style and body modifications multiple times, including on the Call Her Daddy podcast in October.

“I’m like, ‘Babe, if you want blue hair, it is what it is,’” The Kardashians star explained about North to host Alex Cooper. “It makes her so happy. I would never take that creativity away from her.”
In January, the All’s Fair alum appeared on her sister Khloé Kardashian’s podcast, Khloé in Wonderland, and once again said she is OK with North experimenting with her look.
“I think like the one misconception that people might have is like, ‘Oh, she’s trying to be her bestie and lets her get away with a lot.’ Like, no. Northy actually has a lot of rules,” Kim remarked. “The one area is I do let her express herself, and I do let her do that. I love her for that, and she would do it, you know, regardless.”
