New service allows community pharmacies to treat certain conditions in place of a doctor

Pharmacists are charging customers between €30 and €35 for a consultation under the recently introduced common conditions service that allows them to treat some people in place of a GP.
The fee applies to everyone, even people with medical cards, and is cheaper than a GP visit, which costs around €50 to €70.
