The 38-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with the murder of nurse Mackenzie Michalski (31) in the Hungarian capital.

He has pleaded not guilty and appeared in court on Friday in Budapest at a pre-trial hearing.

He claims the neurosurgery nurse died accidently while they were being intimate in his rented accommodation in the Hungarian capital, having met earlier at a bar.
