One UI 8.5 brings numerous new visual changes. One of them is the new Software Update screen. Instead of the plain page with 3 blocks, Samsung simplified the screen with a new gradient page with the One UI 8.5 version text in the center. The “Check for updates” button was moved to the very bottom of the screen as well. Now, Samsung is streamlining this change across its Galaxy Watches too.

A refreshed software update page to align Galaxy Watches with One UI 8.5 devices

According to @F15Mechanic63 on X, the Galaxy Watch Manager for the Galaxy Watch 8 series received an update via the Galaxy Store. The version is v.2.2.17.26020951. It brings a subtle, but noticeable visual refresh.

The updated Galaxy Wearable plugin now shows a redesigned software update screen. It matches the One UI 8.5 update screen on Galaxy phones. Instead of the older, plain update page, users now see a bold “One UI 8.0 Watch” text centered on a soft gradient background. Along with this, there is a “Check for updates” button at the bottom. It’s a small visual tweak, but it instantly feels more modern and in line with Samsung Galaxy smartphones.

This update doesn’t bring any new watch features. Instead, it makes the update experience look the same across phones and wearables. It also shows that Samsung is paying attention to details, even in companion apps.

If you own a Galaxy Watch 8 series device, open the Galaxy Wearable app or Galaxy Store and check for updates. You might already have the new look waiting for you. This change should roll out to more Galaxy Watch users in the coming weeks.
