Hollyoaks has revealed a scandalous new twist in the love triangle storyline involving Warren Fox, which has seen Gemma Johnson and Mercedes McQueen compete for the affections of the village bad boy.
Warren and Mercedes have had a long history together, but last week’s scenes on the Channel 4 soap saw Mercedes state that they could never be together in the future, with the beloved character beginning her rehab stint at that time.
Warren had also been seeing Gemma for a short while last year, but their relationship became strained after a convoluted crime storyline. Despite this, Warren has retained bonds with both Gemma and Mercedes.
In next week’s scenes, Gemma and Warren spend the night together after she confides in him about her worries for her father Donny. Despite their shared history and conflicted feelings, Gemma doesn’t regret their time together, leaving Warren relieved.

Mercedes, meanwhile, is preparing to leave rehab and pays an emotional goodbye to half-brother John Paul, who has decided to leave the village for good following weeks of turmoil and drama.
Mercedes eventually completes her final therapy session, with close friend Nikki jibing her about her love for men. Upon her return home, Mercedes gets a bit of shock and makes a big decision.
As she is welcomed home by her family and close friends, Mercedes spots Warren entering the Maalik household to visit Gemma, and immediately feels a pang of jealousy as her loved one seems to be moving forwards without her.

She subsequently knocks on their door, leaving Gemma and Warren surprised. They are even more shocked, however, when she proposes that she and Gemma come to an arrangement where they can both be romantically involved with Warren.
With Mercedes seemingly happy to share Warren with her old love rival, will Gemma agree to this or want Warren all to herself? And how will Warren react to the idea – will he be happy to have double trouble or are his eyes set firmly on one person?
Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
