New figures show that over 20,000 workers in County Donegal have been auto-enrolled in the state’s new pension scheme.
The new scheme, called My Future Fund, auto-enrolled all workers who were previously not paying into a pension scheme.
Statistics revealed by Minister for Social Protection Dara Calleary show that 20,426 workers in Donegal were auto-enrolled into the scheme to date.
In total, 761,789 workers were enrolled into the scheme nationwide across 105,176 employers, including 2,014 workers who live in Northern Ireland but work in the Republic.
