Seven people have died following road traffic incidents in counties Armagh, Meath, Waterford and Galway on Saturday.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) confirmed that three people were killed in a crash in the Armagh Road area of Moy after 10pm.
“At around 10.20pm, Police received a report of a three-vehicle collision involving a red BMW, a grey Volkswagen and a white Audi,” Assistant Chief Constable Davy Beck said in a statement on Sunday afternoon.
“Officers attended, along with colleagues from other emergency services, however, two men, aged 31 and 48, and a woman, aged 23, were sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.”
Four other people were injured in the crash, with three of them still being treated on Sunday. The Armagh Road in Moy remained closed on Sunday afternoon.
The PSNI appealed to anyone who witnessed the incident or with dashcam footage that could assist the investigation to come forward.
SDLP Armagh councillor Thomas O’Hanlon said three families and “their wider communities have been plunged into deep grief” following the incident.
“There are truly no words that can ease such pain, other than to offer our thoughts and prayers at this incredibly difficult time,” he said in a statement.
Meanwhile, a teenage girl has died after a suspected hit-and-run on the Slane Road in Navan, Co Meath.
An Garda Síochána said officers were called to a stretch of the N51 at around 8.20pm on Saturday where a pedestrian had been seriously injured by a car that failed to remain at the scene.

“The pedestrian, a 16-year-old female, was treated at the scene before being transferred to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, where she was later pronounced deceased,” the force said in a statement.
A man in his 20s was later arrested in connection with the incident and a car was seized by gardaí to undergo technical and forensic examinations.
“He is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda Station in the Eastern Region,” the Garda said in a statement.
“The scene remains preserved for examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local traffic diversions are in place.”

Separately, a woman in her 80s died following a single vehicle crash at Eyrecourt in Co Galway on Saturday night.
Gardaí and emergency services responded to an incident at Rooaun at about 8.15pm.
“The driver and sole occupant of the car, a woman in her 80s, was pronounced deceased at the scene a short time later,” the force said.
“Her body was brought to the mortuary at Portiuncula Hospital, where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.”

Earlier, two people were killed in a collision in Co Waterford.

An Garda Síochána said they were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on the R675 road at Robin Hill.
A man (50s) and a juvenile male who were travelling in the van were brought to University Hospital Waterford to be treated for non life threatening injuries.
