If you didn’t already want to pack up and move to Montana, chances are you will after watching another Yellowstone spin-off that’s on the way.
The Yellowstone universe has already expanded to include 1923 with Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford and The Madison which stars Michelle Pfeiffer as well as a prequel series called 1883 with Tim McGraw and Dutton Ranch, the Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler spin-off, but there’s another we’ve got our eye on.
Deadline reported in May that producers are working on Y: Marshals, which will follow one of the main Yellowstone Duttons, Kayce, and we’ve now got a first look and a release date.

What is Marshals about?
Luke Grimes, who plays Kayce, has signed on for the project, which in recent months has had its title shortened to Marshals, and while we don’t know too much about it, it does sound promising.
A longline for Y: Marshals reads: ‘Combining his skills as a cowboy and Navy SEAL to bring range justice to Montana, where he and his teammates must balance family, duty and the high psychological cost that comes with serving as the last line of defense in the region’s war on violence.’

With the release date fast approaching, two trailers have dropped for Marshals with Kayce being told he’s ‘the only person I know who can bridge the gap between the res[ervation] and the ranchers.’
We’ve high hopes for a Kayce spin-off, and as Yellowstone fans know, he played a huge role in determining the Dutton ranch’s future in the main series.
From the longline, it sounds like the spin-off will pick up the story after the end of Yellowstone, so we’ll get to see how things pan out for the family.
Luke reacted to getting his own spin-off over the summer, sharing Deadline’s article and saying: ‘Cowboys don’t say goodbye, they say see you later.’
Who else will be in Y: Marshals?

Joining Luke in the show will be And Just Like That star Logan Marshall-Green, who has also starred in 24 and The O.C, as the character Pete Calvin, a friend of Kayce’s from his military service, in Y: Marshals.
Familiar Yellowstone faces Gil Birmingham, Brecken Merrill, and Mo Brings Plenty will all be starring in Y: Marshals.
Other actors confirmed for the show include Arielle Kebbel, Ash Santos, and Tatanka Means.
When will Marshals be released?

As for when we can expect to watch Marshals, the answer is very soon! In November, CBS confirmed that Marshals will launch on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 8 pm Eastern.
In Ireland, we should be able to watch it through Paramount+.
