Wexford opened their All-Ireland Under-16 ‘A’ camogie shield campaign with victory over Laois in Ballacolla on Sunday, securing what appears to be a useful success in their bid for a long run in this championship.
The Slaneysiders are in a four-team group, which also features Dublin and Antrim, with the Leinster county comfortably beating their northern opponents by 7-17 to 1-5 in their clash on Sunday.
