Alison Brie went for gold in Gucci as she joined husband Dave Franco at the world premiere of Disney and Pixar’s “Hoppers” on Monday at El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles. The actor chose the 75mm Lady Horsebit sandal in the Sun colorway, a crackled gold leather design whose latest iteration currently retails for $1,240.

The open-toe sandal featured a single band across the front, topped with Gucci’s signature horsebit hardware in matching metal. The upper came in metallic leather with a textured, crackled finish, set on a straight block heel measuring roughly three inches. An adjustable ankle strap with a small buckle secured the sandal. Brie paired the gold sandals with a dark denim Françoise button fastening top and coordinating jeans.

Brie’s Gucci heels join a recent run of metallic gold sandals on red carpets. In December, Dylan Mulvaney wore Vince Camuto’s Saprenda heel in the Egyptian Gold colorway with an archival Roberto Cavalli gown for an “Oh, Mary!” press performance in London. Brooks Nader followed with pointed metallic stiletto sandals on “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen,” while Sarah Michelle Gellar chose Casadei’s Flora Interstellar gold platform sandals for the Netflix “Star Search” finale in Los Angeles just last week.

The appearance also arrives as Gucci moves through a closely watched transition. Equity analysts have pointed to 2026 as a reset year for the Kering label, with modest growth forecasts tied to Demna’s first full runway collection, set to debut in three days, and a stepped-up product rollout, plus longer-term expectations around a new Gucci fragrance business under L’Oréal.
