Ubisoft Chief Executive Yves Guillemot has reportedly confirmed that multiple new titles in the Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry franchises are currently in development. According to Variety, Guillemot stated in an interview with the publication that Ubisoft’s newly formed Vantage Studios, responsible for some of the company’s three largest franchises, is working on new instalments of Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry and Rainbow Six. Several of the Assassin’s Creed projects are said to span both single-player and multiplayer formats.
As reported by Variety, Guillemot stated that under the Assassin’s Creed brand several titles are in development, while anticipation remains high for Far Cry, with two promising projects currently underway. He further informed that the company has outlined its ambitious Year 11 roadmap for Rainbow Six and confirmed that the highly anticipated Rainbow Six Mobile, designed to make the franchise accessible on the go, will launch worldwide on 23 February 2026.
The developments come amid reports that Ubisoft’s cost-cutting measures and broader restructuring strategy could lead to the cancellation of as many as six gaming titles, including Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Ubisoft cited quality concerns as the primary reason for halting certain projects while confirming its wider structural overhaul.
The company is restructuring into five dedicated creative divisions, with each studio overseeing specific franchises and operating under its own allocated budget. Under the new framework, Ubisoft’s five Creative Houses will manage their respective titles comprehensively, covering brand planning, development, marketing and sales.
According to Reuters, each division will function under its own leadership team, with executive compensation linked to key performance indicators such as player engagement and value creation.
An earlier report by Variety detailed the updated studio structure and franchise allocations. Creative House 1, also known as Vantage Studios, has been tasked with expanding Ubisoft’s largest, well-established franchises into billion-dollar annual brands, including Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry and Rainbow Six. Creative House 2 will focus on competitive and co-operative shooter titles, overseeing franchises such as The Division, Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell.
Creative House 3 has been established to manage a curated portfolio of live-service experiences, including For Honor, The Crew, Riders Republic, Brawlhalla and Skull & Bones. Creative House 4 will concentrate on fantasy settings and narrative-driven worlds, handling franchises such as Anno, Might & Magic, Rayman, Prince of Persia and Beyond Good & Evil.
Creative House 5 will aim to strengthen Ubisoft’s position in the casual and family-oriented gaming segment, overseeing titles such as Just Dance, Idle Miner Tycoon, Ketchapp, Hungry Shark, Invincible: Guarding the Globe, Uno and Hasbro titles.
