Galway International Arts Festival has opened applications for the Elevate Bursary 2026, supporting artists, companies and ensembles based in Galway City and County to develop new artistic projects. Seven bursaries will be awarded: two of €10,000 and five of €5,000. One bursary is designated for work relating to environmental sustainability or climate change, and two are designated for artists with lived experience of displacement or intergenerational migration, or from historically marginalised communities.
The bursary may support artists’ time, research, materials, mentorship, training or production costs.
Applications should be submitted by 6pm, Friday 20 March 2026.
