The American man charged with the murder of Kenmare man Mike Gaine will appear in court again next Wednesday.
54-year-old Michael Kelley, who had been residing in Tralee, appeared before Tralee District Court yesterday afternoon.
He faces one charge; that he murdered Mike Gaine on a date unknown between 20th and 21st March last year at Carrig, Kenmare.
Bail applications on murder charges cannot be made in the district court, so Mr Kelley was remanded in custody by Judge David Waters.
Mr Kelley, who was granted legal aid, will next again in Tralee District Court on video link next Wednesday.
