The first smidgeon of blue sky – enough to make a sailor’s shirt – in what feels like forever, crocuses blooming, tulips pushing their sturdy way up through the soil and hundreds of rosy-legged runners glowing with post-10k satisfaction … yes, truly, spring is in the air as we take a pre-lunch wander around the west Limerick village of Adare.
