Eight years ago, Janet O’Rourke and James Boyle set up a business producing eco-fuels. Their office was a spare bedroom and the factory a former calving shed on the family farm just outside Claremorris in Co Mayo.
Every week, they loaded up the van and went door to door of businesses selling what they believed was an alternative to briquettes, which were being phased out at the time.
