Drogheda United have been hit with a €15,000 fine and their fans have been banned from the next four away matches, as part of the punishment for incidents at last week’s Louth derby.

The FAI’s Independent Disciplinary Committee met today to assess what steps to take against Drogheda after flares were thrown onto Dundalk’s new artificial pitch at Oriel Park.
