The senior camogie team of Carrick-on-Suir’s Scoil Mhuire Secondary School were crowned All-Ireland champions at the SETU sports grounds in Carlow yesterday (Thursday, February 26).
The team won the All-Ireland Post Primary Schools Senior B title by defeating Presentation Wexford by three points in the All-Ireland final replay.
Final score was Scoil Mhuire 0-13, Presentation Wexford 2-04.
There were jubilant scenes after the final whistle among the large contingent of Scoil Mhuire students, teachers and players parents who travelled to SETU Carlow to cheer on the team.
Scoil Mhuire team member Grace Farrell won the Player of the Match prize.
