Derek Kent has been elected the 42nd president of the GAA at Congress in Croke Park tonight.

Kent beat Tipperary’s Ger Ryan, the former Munster GAA chair, and Sligo’s John Murphy, the former Connacht GAA chair, in an election to succeed Jarlath Burns.
