A judge has told a carer who vowed to shoot and run over a garda by telling her: “The next time I see you on the road I am going to run you over, bang, bang,” she may spare him criminal sanction if he continues to engage with probation services.
Judge Bernadette Owens instructed Alan McManus, Ballintubber, Rosemount, Moate, Westmeath, to pursue the “further work” probation personnel were still seeking to complete with the 36-year-old following his guilty plea to threatening to kill or cause serious harm to Garda Linzi Martin on May 13, 2024.
