Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Kit Green will make another big confession on Coronation Street in the storyline involving Mal Roper, which saw the newcomer suffer a heart attack after he was roughed up by the police officer.
In Friday’s (27 February) episode of the ITV soap, it was revealed that Kit was responsible for the brutal attack on Mal, who had been stalking Kit’s mother, Bernie Winter-Alahan, in recent weeks.
After seeing his mother receive unwanted attention from Mal, Kit decided to take matters into his own hands and deliver some punishment, though he didn’t anticipate that Mal would be hospitalised after suffering a heart attack.
In Monday’s (2 March) scenes, Kit and girlfriend Sarah Platt are grilled by Brody Michaelis over the attack on Mal. As the pair share a nervous glance, Brody twigs that they are hiding something.

He reports this information back to Bernie, who confronts Kit and demands that he tell the truth regarding the whole situation. Feeling the pressure, the copper relents and tells all, but how will Bernie react to this?
“Kit’s sure to be nervous as he confesses the truth to Bernie,” our Corrie source reveals. “Bernie has already endured a tough round of questioning down at the police station, as she was the early suspect in the case.”
“Although she’s since been released without charge, Kit could have put a stop to it much sooner,” our insider continues. “On the other hand, Kit was only trying to protect Bernie at such a scary time for her. Can mother and son make it through this?”
While Bernie will be left reeling from this debacle, it’s not the only instance of drama on the cobbles of Weatherfield, with Theo Silverton and Carl Webster set to resume their feud in upcoming scenes.

“Theo’s driven through Coronation Street like a truck with three wheels, and crashed through everybody, hasn’t he?” said James Cartwright, who plays Theo. “He’s upset Carl. They’ve got a bit of a funny thing [going on].”
“It’s two villains head-to-head competing for the top spot, if you will. I feel it’s a bit like that with Theo and Carl. It’s a ‘winner takes all’ situation. They’re starting to dislike each other now, but that turns to real hate,” he added.
Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
