If you’re considering upgrading your current smartphone to something a bit newer and filled with more features, now could be the best time. Sky Mobile has launched a new promotional deal for the iPhone 16e.

Better yet, it claims the current deal places the iPhone at its ‘lowest ever’ price, meaning it could be a good deal for the more price-concious shoppers. Sky has cut the price of the phone to only £14 per month, this represents a £114 price frop compated to its standard pricing.

Keep in mind, though, that the deal doesn’t include any extra network deatures such as calls, texts, or data. However, many shoppers can currently get a Sky Sim package for the phone from only an extra £5 a month.

There are a couple of catches to be aware of. You’ll need to pay a £12 upfront fee and commit to a 36-month contract. Over the full term — excluding any annual price rises — that adds up to £696.

For comparison, the iPhone 16e is currently available SIM-free for £499 from retailers such as Argos. Pair that with a £5 monthly SIM and you’d spend around £679 over three years. That option works out slightly cheaper overall, but it does require paying the full handset cost upfront rather than spreading it out.

Furthermore, you can get a refurbished version of the iPhone 16e from BackMarket for as low as £398. Keep in mind though that this is a refurbished model which means that it has had previous owners and may show some cosmetic damage on the outside, but should still work as intended.

What do you get with the iPhone 16e and is it worth the money? Launched early last year, the iPhone 16e is Apple’s latest entry-level iPhone and replaces the much-loved iPhone SE.

Despite its lower price, it packs in plenty of premium features. You get a 6.1-inch Super Retina OLED display, Apple’s powerful A18 chip with support for Apple Intelligence, and a 48MP single rear camera. It also includes Face ID for fast unlocking, strong battery life, USB-C charging, 5G connectivity, and an IP68-rated water-resistant design.

Positioned as a more affordable alternative to Apple’s flagship models, the iPhone 16e delivers modern performance and features without the premium price tag. Apple’s iPhone 16e should definitely not be ignored. It is a great smartphone that packs quite a punch for a much lower price than its flagship siblings.

No, it doesn’t get all of the features found on the latest iPhone 17 or iPhone 16 but if things such as Camera Control and MagSafe don’t really bother you then this is a solid device to consider. What you do get is a beautifully made phone that is built for the future and the next generation of Apple Intelligence updates.

You can’t go wrong with any of the latest iPhone models and the iPhone 16e’s lower price makes it seriously tempting. Just be aware that its lower cost means fewer features.

You’ll need to decide what really matters to you and what compromises you are prepared to make.
