X’s top tipster reckons Cunha registers another goal contribution on Sunday.
It’s once again time for thousands of people from Croydon to make that long journey up to Old Trafford… but that’s enough about the home fans (boom boom!). Ahead of Sunday’s key 2pm Premier League clash, those in the away section will be hopeful of seeing their side get three straight wins at Old Trafford for the first time ever, just over four years after spurning the chance to record such a hat-trick.
Can they do it this time? Top tipster Andy Robson gives us his picks for a tasty Bet Builder, which includes three player picks. All of them are covered by Paddy’s Super Sub offer, where any eligible bet made on a specific player carries over to their direct replacement if they get subbed off.
Let’s get his Manchester United v Crystal Palace tips.

Matheus Cunha to score or assist
There are just some players that suit playing for Man United, and Matheus Cunha is one of them. He’s got that natural arrogance which you need to play for a club the size of United, and is starting to improve on his final product, which was lacking a little in the early weeks of his United career.
Cunha has registered eight goal contributions across his 20 starts in the Premier League this season, with six of these being goals. His shot volume is particularly outstanding, with Cunha managing 63 shots across these games – working out to an average of 3.29 shots per 90. He reminds me of Bruno Fernandes in the way that he just keeps going even after missing chances, he doesn’t get in his own head which makes him a good option for a goal contribution here.
United have won all three of their home games under Michael Carrick so far, with Cunha registering goal contributions in two of these games – picking up an assist against Man City and finding the back of the net against Fulham.
Daniel Munoz to be shown a card
Daniel Munoz is probably Palace’s most important player, based on the fact that Oliver Glasner doesn’t have a ready made replacement in the squad if Munoz was to be unavailable. He has been previously described by his boss as the ‘perfect’ Premier League player, and it’s hard to argue with that analysis when looking over Munoz’s key traits.
Munoz relishes the physical battle and is set for quite the contest here up against Luke Shaw and Matheus Cunha. Cunha is the shortest player in the foul won market to draw a foul here, so we can expect him to challenge Munoz regularly. Cunha has won 39 fouls across his 20 Premier League starts this term, working out to an average of 2.04 fouls won per 90.
Munoz has picked up five yellow cards across his 19 Premier League starts this season, while maintaining a foul average 1.18 fouls committed per 90. He ended last season with 10 yellow cards across his 37 Premier League appearances, showing that his aggression can occasionally spill over, and he’s got the perfect opponent to see a repeat of that outcome here.
Ismaila Sarr 1+ shots on target
Ismaila Sarr could genuinely be one of the best wingers in world football, if every team gave him acres of space to run in behind. He’s got a stellar record against the top sides for Palace, with this mainly being a result of sides coming onto Palace and leaving space in behind for Sarr to run into.
Not many players can deal with the speed of Sarr, and I think he’ll look to get in behind Luke Shaw as often as possible here, with the left back not blessed with speed. The way Palace play also suits Sarr, they like to invite pressure before attacking quickly through their wingbacks and front trio.
Sarr has taken 29 shots across his 17 starts in the Premier League this season, working out to a shot average of 1.79 per 90. 10 of these attempts have found the target (0.62 per 90), which isn’t a record that jumps off the page, but the tactical setup of the game suits Sarr – and he should thrive again with that space to get in behind.
