Housing Minister James Browne is reportedly “furious” after it emerged that eviction notices had been issued to 36 residents of a housing estate in Bridgetown, Co Wexford.

The residents of Hazelwood received the notices from Patchflow Ltd in their letterboxes on Friday, two days before the government’s new rental rules came into effect. It means that up to 100 people, including children, will have to vacate their homes by August.
