Sophie Rain is a big name on social media, and she makes a staggering amount of money. She has openly said she feels more deserving of that income than some UFC stars.
There was a post doing the rounds on X that stacked up her massive earnings next to those of Justin Gaethje, the interim UFC lightweight champion. While Rain has raked in huge sums, Gaethje’s reported UFC payouts are just into the millions.
Not much is known about Rain personally – her real name or exact age are not public. But she presents herself online as someone living the life of a woman in her early twenties.
She has claimed to have earned over $100 million during her time online and often references growing up in a home that relied on food stamps.
Recently, Rain addressed this figure again in a post that has been making its way around social media.

A graphic comparing the career earnings of Gaethje and the OnlyFans model picked up plenty of attention on social media. Over 5.6 million people saw the tweet, which sparked a lot of discussion – despite not being entirely accurate.
The post stated that ‘The Highlight’ had earned only $2.4 million across his career, despite winning three belts in the UFC and collecting 15 performance bonuses. It also claimed that all of Rain’s income came from just ‘three streams a month’.
Gaethje has fought in different locations around the world over his time in MMA, so there are no official numbers for what he has been paid. But it is clear that he has made more than just $2.4 million.
The tweet also labelled him a ‘two-time UFC lightweight champion’, which is not quite right either, as both of those titles were interim belts, and he lost each chance at the full title.
Even so, while there are some inaccuracies in the post, it is fair to assume that even with his impressive resume over 15 years and 32 professional fights, Gaethje has not made anywhere near $100 million.
Rain responded to this by saying: “I’m not saying I don’t get paid a ridiculously absurd amount, but to say all I do is “3 streams monthly” when I am legit on my phone posting, engaging, talking to people, making videos every single day without breaks since 2023 is wild.”
This response did not go over well with many online commenters, who noted that she was still comparing her comfortable lifestyle to that of a professional athlete who has dedicated years to competing at an elite level.
