Donegal’s own Eric Roberts has won the award for Ireland’s best male TV presenter!
The unstoppable Downings man scooped the prize at Saturday’s Gossies awards, which he hosted for the second year running.
Eric, who is flat to the mat on RTE’s Dancing with the Stars, while also hosting on Ireland AM, said he was honoured to win.
“I absolutely love presenting. I think it’s obvious to everyone in this room how much I adore it,” he said.
A stunned Eric said he looked up to many of his fellow nominees, including Dáithí Ó Sé, James Patrice and Brian Dowling.
“I feel like I haven’t worked a day in my life since I left my job as an SNA, so I’m very appreciative of it,” he added.
Eric was also in the running for Best Social Media Star, an award he previously claimed in 2025.

Eric’s career has skyrocketed since the pandemic, when he began posting funny videos on TikTok. Little did he know that his platform would grow and bring opportunities right across the entertainment world.
Eric made the leap from his role as a Special Needs Assistant at Mulroy College to pursue social media and content creation full time. Last year, he took another major step, relocating to Dublin to join the Ireland AM team.
All of that, while also embracing his biggest new role of all, becoming a dad.
Other Donegal stars at the Gossies included Newstalk presenter Andrea Gilligan from Ballyshannon, who announced Eric’s award.
