The Rev. Janet Broderick, sister of actor Matthew Broderick, is to take up residence in the Iniskeel parish of Donegal.
Rev Broderick, who is based in Derry, will be the Priest-in-Charge of the five churches of Ardara, Glencolumbkille, Glenties, Inniskeel and Lettermacaward.
A Service of Introduction will take place for the new Rector this Friday in Inniskeel Parish Church, Portnoo.
The service is expected to draw parishioners and well-wishers from across the wider community.
In welcoming Rev Broderick to the area this year, members of the Church of Ireland Lettermacaward said: “We are so excited for her to be leading us in our next chapter of worship and fellowship.”

Before taking up her new role in Donegal, the Rev Janet Broderick served for many years in parish ministry in the United States.
The New York City native was ordained in 1990 and has previously served in parishes in New York, New Jersey and Beverly Hills.
Janet and her brother Matthew have close ties to Donegal. Their parents James and Patricia Broderick holidayed often in South Donegal.
In recent years, Matthew and his wife, Sarah Jessica Parker, transformed the family’s Kilcar holiday home into a secluded coastal retreat, and they continue to return regularly.
