Magico’s S7 2026 is a five-driver, three-way floorstanding loudspeaker that replaces the original S7 at the top of the company’s middle-tier S Series – the range that sits between the entry-level A Series and the flagship M Series. The original S7 was discontinued in 2025 after a decade of production. Despite sharing its predecessor’s name, the S7 2026 is an entirely new design.
Trickle-down engineering
Magico says it has borrowed technology from its M Series loudspeakers, including the M9 (which retails for close to a million pounds). The tweeter uses a 28mm diamond-coated pure-beryllium diaphragm carried over from those flagship models. Below it sits a 6-inch midrange driver and three 10-inch bass drivers, all built with Magico’s Nano-Tec Gen 8 cones: an aluminium-honeycomb core sandwiched between graphene-reinforced carbon-fibre skins. The driver chassis is a third-generation design that Magico says took three years to develop.
Cabinet and crossover
The sculpted aluminium enclosure stands 142cm tall and weighs 174kg per cabinet. Internal volume has grown from 135 litres to 180 litres compared to the outgoing model, which Magico says extends bass response by an additional 5Hz while maintaining the same sensitivity.
The five drivers are integrated by Magico’s Elliptical Symmetry Crossover (ESXO), a three-way network using 24dB Linkwitz-Riley slopes. The crossover uses components from Mundorf of Germany and – a first for the S Series – CAST PP Radial capacitors from Duelund Coherent Audio of Denmark.
Specifications
Sensitivity is rated at 88dB with a 4 ohm nominal impedance. Frequency response is quoted as 20Hz–50kHz, and recommended amplifier power runs from 50wpc to 1000wpc. Twelve colour options are available across two finish levels: six in Magico’s Softec (powder coat) finish and six in High Gloss (automobile paint).
Pricing and availability
The S7 2026 ships Q3 2026 from Magico’s facility in Hayward, California. UK pricing starts at £159,000 per pair for the Softec finish, rising to £178,000 per pair for High Gloss. US dollar pricing has not yet been confirmed.
