A divisive Marvel hero may be returning to the MCU at some point in the near future.
Marvel Studios has given fans plenty of recognizable, beloved characters over the years, whether it be Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, etc. There have, however, been some misfires or MCU projects that haven’t been well-received by critics and audiences alike, too.
Perhaps one of the best examples of this is Iron Fist. While Iron Fist is a beloved character in Marvel Comics, the Netflix TV show that premiered in 2017 didn’t generate much excitement among fans. It did manage to get a second season, and Finn Jones’ Danny Rand/Iron Fist did show up for The Defenders crossover show, though the character has been absent from the MCU since then.
What divisive MCU hero could be returning soon?
According to a new report from scooper Cryptic HD QUALITY, Jones’ Danny Rand may be returning sometime soon. The post indicates that Danny Rand may be “teased” in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, though whether or not this means Jones will actually make an appearance in the show remains to be seen.
It’s also important to stress that this is just a rumor at this time, and it should be treated as such, as there’s been no official announcement from Marvel Television at this time regarding Jones returning to the MCU.
Having said that, given that Danny Rand and Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock/Daredevil already have a history with one another because of The Defenders, it would make sense for Jones’ character to be mentioned, in some capacity, in Born Again Season 2. This is especially true because it’s well-known, at this point, that Krysten Ritter is reprising her Jessica Jones role in the Daredevil show’s forthcoming season.
