A popular Kerrykeel restaurant has issued a hilarious plea to customers to help them combat rising heating oil prices.

The Narrow Quarter Bistro & Coffeehouse is a popular stop-off with visitors and locals alike.

But now the eaterie is pleading with its customers to bring their own fuel to help keep the restaurant warm!

A message on the restaurant’s social media said “In the old days, children brought a sod of turf to school for the fire.

“With heating oil the price it is now, customers coming to The Narrow Quarter this week are asked to bring one litre of kerosene.

“Don’t worry — we promise we’ll leave the heating on.”
