Ever since the news of the ex-Prince Andrew’s alleged wrongdoing came out, the trouble seems to be mounting for him. Earlier, he was stripped of his titles and asked to leave the Royal Lodge in Windsor. And after his arrest for suspected misconduct in public office, a new restriction was imposed. Although the former Duke of York was released under investigation after 11 hours at Thames Valley police, Andrew was “ordered not to go horse riding” since “it’s considered a bad look.”
And now, sources have told OK! that Andrew’s membership at the Savage Club, founded in 1857, was formally withdrawn before his arrest by the police due to previous revelations about his connection with Jeffrey Epstein.
“The General Committee has resolved that, in light of recent public developments, the Honorary Life Membership previously held by The Duke of York has been withdrawn. This decision has been taken solely in the interests of upholding the Club’s established traditions and standards,” read the notice from the Club.
After the “one of the leading bohemian gentleman’s clubs in London” took the step, other private clubs followed suit, as “Andrew is simply too controversial to accommodate. No one wants the optics of him walking through their doors. In effect, he has been socially quarantined.”
