Kendra Wilkinson is unfazed by critics.
In celebration of International Women’s Day on Sunday, March 8, the Girls Next Door alum, 40, addressed people who have had unkind things to say about her looks.
“I used to use a light filter on myself but now I’m just embracing myself as it is,” Hugh Hefner’s ex-girlfriend captioned an Instagram selfie in which she appeared to wear minimal makeup.

“I’ve seen many people comment saying I’ve aged ‘poorly’ and that is ok. I’m ok with aging ‘poorly,’” she admitted. “For some reason I’m happier than I’ve ever been lately even with a little weight gain and wrinkles and I’m not going to tie my happiness again into the negative energy.”
Wilkinson, who now works as a real estate agent, said that she is “a balanced, single, positive, fun woman who loves life,” adding: “I hope that i can manage this feeling forever now after working hard to get here to this place.”
“I was verrrry young when i started tv and lived a crazy chaotic 20 years of impressing others but now it’s about ME. Giving back to ME. Even with less money and Way less fame,” said the TV personality, who also appeared in the reality shows Kendra and Kendra on Top.

The mother of two — who shares children Hank IV, 16, and Alijah, 11, with ex-husband Hank Baskett — said that watching her children grow has given her “happiness over everything else.”
“I’m so beyond grateful for today!” she concluded. “Love ya!! Happy Women’s day!! #womensday.”
In separate posts on her Instagram Story, Wilkinson celebrated International Women’s Day by writing, “Loveeee my life today being a 40 year old realtor, mom of 2 amazing kids. I embrace age and shed all the old negatives. Having way more fun too. Happy being single and taking on adventures on my own.”

“People get mad because I’ve aged ‘poorly’ or gained weight,” she continued, adding other selfies to her Instagram Story. “But I’m happier than ever. Isn’t that funny. Lol. Happy women’s day.”
“And no. I don’t go out looking for a man or love,” she insisted. “I embrace life as it is. Grateful for being an aging woman and have awesome few friends.”
