As the wait for the acclaimed show’s return nears an end, Helluva Boss is crossing over into live-action, and ScreenRant has the first glimpse at it. Created by Vivienne Medrano, the series is set in the same world as her other hit adult animated comedy, Hazbin Hotel. Having first premiered on Medrano’s YouTube, the show has been picked up by Prime Video for its next two seasons.

While sharing the same musical comedy niche as Hazbin Hotel, Helluva Boss focuses on I.M.P., an imp-run assassination company in Hell led by Blitzo who, after acquiring an ancient book from a Goetial demon of Hell, gains access to the human world. In the midst of their jobs, the show also explores the dysfunctional dynamics between its central characters.

With less than a week remaining until season 3 premieres, ScreenRant is excited to offer the first look at Helluva Boss’ live-action crossover with Brandon Rogers playing Blitzo. The comedian/star is carrying forward his fan-favorite imp character in A Night at The Park, the film sequel to his viral shorts A Day at The Park and A Day at the Beach.

In addition to the photo, we can also exclusively reveal that the live-action film will feature his fellow Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss co-stars Blake Roman, Morgana Ignis, Vivienne Medrano and Georgie Leahy, albeit as original characters rather than their animated counterparts. Other guests will include Rosanna Pansino, conjoined twins Carmen and Lupita and bbno$. Check out the first look at Rogers’ live-action Blitzo below:

Blitzo’s appearance in A Night at The Park won’t be the only major appearance of the character in live-action, either, as it comes amidst the promotional marketing for Helluva Boss season 3’s release on September 10. Fans of the animated franchise will also soon have the chance to call an “I.M.P. phone line” for a special in-character Hellaverse message, which details will be announced in the near future.

While the show already had life before the streamer came along, the creative range Rogers and Medrano appear to have with Blitzo being part of A Night at The Park is an exciting showcase of the relationship between them and Prime Video. It’s already known Medrano and SpindleHorse maintain creative control, but the fact they can team up with Prime Video for opportunities like this is a continued sign of their strong relationship.

It also speaks to the exciting prospects of other future Hellaverse live-action opportunities. Considering both Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss have very passionate fanbases, should the promotional side of things work out as much as Rogers’ film, his biggest production to date, Prime Video is sure to consider bringing more characters to life for specials or ad campaigns.

Our Take On The Live-Action Hellaverse Crossover

Since he first joined the franchise with the series, Rogers has proven a great fit and creative pairing for Medrano with Helluva Boss. However, given how uniquely outlandish his sketches often are, the prospect of seeing him bring Blitzo to life in live-action for A Night at The Park is a fiendishly exciting one, and one that I hope doesn’t stop there.

Helluva Boss season 3 premieres on Prime Video on September 10.
